One thing is certain. Violence is globally unacceptable both against women, men, children and humanity at large. But can human organizations like the UN, really put an end to human violence against one another?

My Last Week

The week that ended today-Saturday 14th Sept, 2013, has been so interesting for me. There were different news, events, sports and friendship that added colour to the week.

1.I heard that Mr. Ayetoro Afeez, popularly known as "Saka" turned 50 last Sunday, 9th September, 2013.Yes, Golden Jubilee for the 'guru'- I don port.

2. Congrats Yemi Sax, its a baby boy. We now have master Sax.

3. Ogiame saga: More Itsekiri leaders denounce alleged sanction plan

Last week, this was the most interesting news item for me. I know most of us read and heard about the gist. However, my question is-- Do the people dictate the decision by a ruler or does the ruler have all it takes to make and take absolute decisions within a kingdom?

Think about Pontius Pilate in the Bible.

That was my last week.

LAST 2 WEEKS FEMI WEDDED. DO YOU KNOW?

When a man and a woman realize that they want to spend the rest of their lives together, they want the rest of their lives to start as  soon as possible.

So it was for Femi/Taiwo and Eyitayo/Kehinde on Saturday 24th August, 2013 at the solemnization of their wedding at the Redeemed Church of God Strong Tower Parish, Ogudu, Lagos State.

Yes, it was a glorious 2 in 1 wedding ceremony- the first of its kind I witnessed.

Their toast read- "He who finds God's best finds a good thing and obtains favour from God (for Eyitayo & Kehinde) and "My perfect gift that's who you are (for Femi & Taiwo).

Here are clips from the wedding in brief:

Femi, the CISCO engineer at Fountan Heights till 2013.

Where on earth is my bride? Femi seems to be wondering in his mind. He's been waiting all life for this beautiful moment. Cool down man. She's on her way.

Eyitayo, happily waiting for his bride- Kehinde.

Here they come at last with daddy Sonde, the father of the beautiful and wonderful brides, Taiwo and Kehinde.

The parents of both brides and grooms-the Sondes, Alabis and the Oluwoles- during praise and worship.

Here they are- Bible reading as the program kick-started that beautiful Saturday.

One of the officiating ministers admonishing the brides and the grooms.

This is the day we've been waiting for-this was after the signing of the marriage certificate between couples and their family members. Femi cannot wait to open the floor for a uniting dance-but guy, you've got to wait a little.

Wait for what? No way! Excuse me dance babes. This is the Lord's doing....Femi, enjoy!

At l-a-a-s-t! Yes, the couples receiving their blessed marriage certificates. This is the dream of every responsible young man and woman. We are happy for guys.

Whao! We present to you from your left, Mr. & Mrs. Alabi and on your right hand side, Mr. & Mrs. Oluwole.

At the reception- Femi and Taiwo getting ready to cut the wedding cake. Femi, what's the fireworks here symbolize? Well, they know best. Success, brightness and blessings i guess.

Eyitayo and Kehinde reharsing before guests for the real spree at home.

Who says Femi is shy! Na lie. E no shy nothing. Taiwo, please feed him. He's your first 'son'.

Sorry for the poor quality of the pics. Femi is saying, 'Do me I do you, man no go vex'. He's got to feed lady 'T'. Am jealous oooooo!

A cross-section of happy guests at the wedding- having a swell time with the newest couples in town.

Yes, we were there to CONGRATULATE Femi/Taiwo and Eyitayo /Kehinde. It was elating.

As a friend to Femi at Fountain Heights, what's your wish for him and the new bride? Leave your sweet comment below or better still tell me what happened in your life last week.
